What's the Kid Literature Website all about?
Here's the story from Carmala Dutra:
Kid Literature is new and quickly growing Website and an amazing way to get the children's books you write into the hands of children. Many children. 'KL' (That is what us admin’s call it) is the place where you can find a lot of resources about upcoming events, free book offers, and reviews; just to list a few examples.
KL is all about giving back to our community of fellow authors, readers, and teachers. On certain days we open the doors to allow posts to page which everyone can see. We have set days where we celebrate being a writer, we help to encourage new and upcoming authors. While never forgetting to give support and encouragement to the more seasoned authors.
We have days that are solely dedicated to writing, such as Monday Blogs and Writer Wednesday. We open up our doors so to speak by inviting all to post and share their comments, links, and suggestions. This has become a twofold source of encouragement not just to our community, but to us, the Admin’s who run KL. One of our supporters had this to say “Personally I find writing to be lonely at times, doing what we do, but having awesome writing groups like this helps no end.” This is what we strive to achieve, a place where support and encouragement can be found.
I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to have a share in Kid Literature from the ground up. What started off as an idea from Karen has grown and blossomed into something that I don’t think any of us could have imagined possible! I’ve have learned so much from all of these wonderful people I work with, friendships and bonds have been created that I never expected. What started off as just something fun to do and share ideas, has resulted in a support system. A support system that has grown so massive that it’s hard to look back and remember the time before I had this.
If you are looking for help starting out in writing, looking are to share your latest book, or just need an inspirational quote; then Kid Literature is the place for you. I am sure everyone has heard the saying ‘It takes a village.’ That “village” applies to every aspect in writing. Writing can be, and often is a lonely road, but it doesn’t have to be! KL offers so much support, so hop on over to the Facebook page, give us a like and let the magic begin!
Once you find your joy in life, you will find the flow in your writing. Seek out your creativity by taking breaks and finding your joy. - Karen Emma Hall, Founder of the Kid Literature Website
